WildWorks Board- Chair
Julie Seyler is Culture Programme Manager at Cornwall Council. As head of the culture team she aims to grow the creative and cultural sector in a way that improves the economic, social and cultural well-being of all communities across Cornwall. Her service includes Arts, Museums, Archive and Records, Cornish Language and the World Heritage Site. Through her work supporting and advocating the creative industries and museums sectors in Cornwall Julie has gained an extensive knowledge of rural creative economies and their associated EUfunding programmes. Her funding bids have raised over £10million for the sector over the last 10 years.
Julie is currently developing the five year Culture Programme for Cornwall and is working on a number of capital projects including the Tate St Ives extension and the creation of a new Archive Centre for Cornwall. Julie was previously the Director of Creative Kernow; an independent creative industries development agency and the general manager at Kneehigh Theatre – one of Cornwall’s great success stories.
