Ellie Williams

WildWorks Artist

Ellie is a visual artist and designer working both independently and in collaboration with other artists and organisations. She began her Wildworks adventure in 2006… cutting Souterrain bunting triangles in a school hall.  The journey continued along an undeniably enchanting path where she rolled the fringes of strangers on naval dockyards in between dance routines and trumpet numbers, spent a month in a Glaswegian basement, filled a royal cabinet with moss, twigs and other feral matters, co-ordinated the knitting of a city and flanked Michael Sheen on the road to calvary, well, a roundabout. The curious encounters have been many, varied and are always inspiring. Ellie is currently designing for ‘Once Upon a Castle’ at Kasteel van Gaasbeek in Belgium. Other projects include designer/maker commissions for The Eden Project since 2005 including large-scale event design for the seasonal programme since 2009. Site-specific commissions include The Compton Skyline Project, Brighton 2006. Ellie graduated from Falmouth University in 2005 with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art having previously studied Art and Design at Wimbledon School of Art.
